Johnson Law Group, a fast paced, high-volume plaintiffs’ law firm headquartered in Houston, Texas, is seeking a Spanish-speaking Attorney to join our legal team.

• Handle personal injury case files from start to finish
• Evaluate potential personal injury claims and provide legal advice to prospective clients accordingly
• Draft, review, and modify claims, motions, discovery responses, demand letters, pleadings, subpoenas, memorandums, and other legal documents
• Research case law and premises liability, and gather insurance policies, medical expenses, medical records, and other evidence relevant to the case
• Communicate with clients, expert witnesses, insurance company adjusters, supporting witnesses, and medical providers to gather information
• Negotiate suitable agreements and settle on the clients’ behalf when appropriate
• Represent the client at hearings, trials, mediations, depositions, and litigationDocument and update the status of all case files in the case management system
• Manage a team including paralegals and legal assistants

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) and Texas state bar membership required
• Candidate must have at least one (1) year of experience, preferably experience with handling personal injury cases

• Strong client-facing experience in any field; ability to communicate clearly with our clients is a must
• Case management skills including a strong aptitude for managing and prioritizing multiple clients, projects and deadlines
• Preferential consideration for deposition, hearing and mediation experience
• Superior organization skills with great follow through
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize appropriately
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Solid analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Pacer experience and Excel skills are helpful

We are not a remote workplace, and our hours are minimum M-F 9AM to 6PM.
